NewSpot

These terms are an agreement between you and NewSpot LLC, the company that operates NewSpot. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

NewSpot aggregates and summarizes information from public records, government open-data portals, media reports, and other third-party sources. That information can be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or wrong, and businesses change constantly. The entire service and all content is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults and without warranties of any kind, and you use it at your own risk.

• We do not warrant that any listing, opening or closing date, location, category, hours, status, or other detail is accurate, current, complete, or fit for any purpose.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
• Confidence badges and source labels describe our evidence — they are not a guarantee that a place is open, operating as described, or safe to rely on.
• Always verify independently before you act — call ahead or confirm with the business before traveling, transacting, or making any decision based on a listing.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, NewSpot LLC and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and contributors will not be liable for any loss, cost, injury, or damage of any kind — direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive — arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) NewSpot or any content, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, or any other theory, and even if advised of the possibility. This includes wasted trips, missed openings, lost profits, and decisions made on inaccurate data.
• Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
• You agree to indemnify and hold NewSpot LLC and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and contributors harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the service or your breach of these terms.
• Spot an error? Report it through owner corrections or a takedown request and we will review it. Reporting a fix does not create any obligation or liability on our part.

NewSpot is offered for your own personal, non-commercial use. The listings you see are the product of our own selection, compilation, categorization, enrichment, and presentation — proprietary work protected as our own regardless of whether individual underlying facts are public. Without our prior written permission you may not:

• Scrape, crawl, spider, harvest, bulk-download, or use any automated means to collect or copy listings, data, or content from NewSpot.
• Resell, redistribute, republish, sublicense, syndicate, or otherwise make the data or content available to any third party.
• Use NewSpot’s data or content — in whole or in part — to build, train, benchmark, or improve any competing product, dataset, model, or service.
• Use the service for any commercial purpose, or in a way that overloads, disrupts, probes, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any attribution, notice, or labeling, or misrepresent the source or accuracy of the content.

Commercial use, data licensing, and bulk access are available only under a separate written agreement. If that’s what you need, get in touch. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these terms, at any time and without notice.

• Map results are informational and may be updated, softened, hidden, or corrected as evidence changes.
• Confidence badges, source freshness, and review states are part of the product, not decorative labels.
• NewSpot can decline, moderate, or remove submissions that look abusive, false, duplicative, or commercially manipulative.

• Business claims, owner verification, launch announcements, and analytics products are separate from consumer ranking.
• Businesses can correct facts for free, but corrections require review before public facts change.
• Paid products can provide analytics, monitoring, and delivery. They cannot buy consumer placement.

• NewSpot links to and summarizes public evidence when source rights allow it.
• Platform or partner data stays blocked from durable storage or commercial reuse until terms allow it.
• Takedown and source-rights requests can move records into review while the dispute is handled.

This site provides applications using data that has been modified for use from its original source, www.cityofchicago.org, the official website of the City of Chicago. The City of Chicago makes no claims as to the content, accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any of the data provided at this site. The data provided at this site is subject to change at any time. It is understood that the data provided at this site is being used at one’s own risk.
